Harry Potter UK

Ok yes I'm still a kid a heart.  On Friday afternoon, we drove into London, to the Warner Bros studio, for the making of Harry Potter.  It was so much fun, to see how they made the movies and to be on the actual sets.  I will have to say that the Hogwarts Castle was my favorite part.  James like the Diagon Alley the most and the chest players.  Here are a few photos from the tour.

UK Trip

Well my next adventure is to The Abbey of Tewskbury.  While doing my family genealogy, I found my mom's father's family is from this area.  So Today Kristina, Granny and myself are going to Tewskbury, in the pouring rain.  It is a quiet little town with many of the original "Tudor " style buildings.

The Abbey was the best part of the trip.  I met a gentleman who put me in touch with the abbey's historian of the region.  Hopefully he will be able to help me track down my family history.   All the Abbeys have these massive doors, that are original and used for the knights to ride in on their horses.

It amazes me how something so old can still be so beautiful, as is everything over here.  There are still home to this day with the thatcher roofs.  This Abbey has one of its original stain glass windows left.
I have a few other photo's of the interior/exterior.
