If it could go bad, it did.

March 21, 2014

We are heading out for a nice weekend, raft up and a celebration for Kevin's birthday.  Kevin and I left work early to have a nice sail up to Pine Causeway but before we could leave, he needed his new Grill (gift from the Admiral).  The Grill arrived by the time we got there, so he spent about an hour installing it and we were underway around 2:30.  We had a wonderful sail north and anchored on the NW side of the causeway.  Things then started going wrong. I went to do dishes and realized we had no water.  This should not be happening since we have (200) gallons of water on board.
The captain realized we have a bad water pump and it keeps popping the breakers.  So for that evening we were very sparing on the water.  In the morning it was a different story.

As long as some one sits next to the breaker switches to flip the water break on when it pops, we have water.  Of course the Captain takes his shower and then its my turn.  During my shower the shower head jammed from the pressure and I had a head full of soap (of course).  So my shower ended with a little spray of water.  After my shower I attempted to brush my teeth.  Well the person in charge of flipping the breaker for water was now trying to fix the shower head.  After making three trips to flip the breaker on with a mouth full of toothpaste and brush.  I gave up and used mouth wash to finish the task.
We then blew the breaker all together and then had no means of water.  This was not looking good, since about 4 boats were suppose to raft.  We called Hazel and she was about to bring out about 3 gals of water.
Luckily the only other boat that did come out was Hazel and we had a wonderful relaxing after noon, then it was time for dinner.  Kevin started the grill and put on a steak and some chicken breast.  About 10 minutes later the propane tank was empty, so he switched to the reserve tank, which was also empty.  So Hazel came to the rescue again and she had a spare on board that we used to finish grilling.
Dinner was great and we had a good laugh about all the things that happened.

March 23 (Sunday)
We had a nice relaxing breakfast then decided to head back to port, so we could fill the propane tank and see about ordering a new water pump.  They say some one is always watching out for you well this weekend that was very true.  Every one who was suppose to come out had their own little emergency, so all ended in a good way. Hazel was our guardian angel this weekend.
